Maybe the moral of the story is to purchase when they are in bloom, just to be sure.<br />I'd love one of the purple ones that stand above the water on a long stem but I think it would be too cold here, the are a tropical variety.<br />I've just realised that my last comment must sound stupid....after all....we've had the temp into the 40 degree celcius for the previous couple of days.
