Sunset reflected on the eucalypts that grow on the fire track, down one side of our property. Its a very cold evening, notice the smoke from the chimney of the slow combustion wood heater in the next picture. Its nice and cosy inside.
This picture was taken from the top of the driveway over looking the house. The next from almost the same spot but looking in the opposite direction. The sun has just disappeared behind the tree line.
Swinging slightly to the right, the dark clouds threaten rain but it did not arrive. Back inside for me, dinner and a comfortable chair next to the fire awaits me. Forecast is for 3 degrees celsius overnight.

Your pictures remind me of a song called "Little fluffy clouds" that I used to listen to some time ago. Glad I'm not living up near you, we are 2 degrees warmer.
I left my gardening gloves outside on the "great wall" last night. They were frozen stiff this morning, but by 11.00AM they had thawed out and were dried by the warm sunshine.
Brr - the price of cool, clear nights. But I do love the golden light we get just before sunset at this time of the year (when it isn't pouring with rain).
Hello Olive
I'm partial to a nice sunset and this was a beautiful one
Has it been just as cold this past week as it was when you wrote this post? Its been cold (b...cold )here in Melbourne and the rain (never begrudged) has made it even more miserable. Hoping for some crisp dry days so I can get outside
Take care
Cathy
ps had a bit of trouble with the feed from your blog - had to refollow so hoping it comes through properly now
Me again
Meant to ask you what it was about condensed milk that you were wary of - comment on Pips blog the other day
