Firstly.... in goes the butter (he is the cook, not me) Then, Ooops, the 80 gm egg is on the floor, broken. Pity we no longer have a dog to clean up the spill.
First into the pan is the 93gm goog, a single yolker, the one at the top of the picture, then the 105gm which is the other 2 yolks.

Hi Olive, those chooks must be like Arnie's female equivalent! I love a good double yoker.
Gav
Yummo, has decided it for me.
Cackle berries for Saturday Breakfast!
HI Michelle and Gavin, Yes they get the best feed, we mix our own (or should say Popeye does) and they free range here in Fox Land, protected by the Alpacas, but having said that, we lost one to a fox a few weeks ago. The foxes are extremely canny.
Haven't heard that term for ages Michelle....Cackleberry, must remember. have fun at the party.
Super fresh eggs, fried in fresh butter...if I ever make it there please feed me some!!!!!!!
Just hope your lovely chook ladies are of a large build, vary large eggs to lay - ouch!!
Hi Olive :c)
I cant wait to eat the eggs my own chickens lay. So excited.
Thanks for your comments. I was wondering... how does the whole free range, letting them wander around the property work? Is it that they naturally want to stay around their house and where they get fed? How do you ensure they stay safe? One of my bigger hens got out friday night but roosted on top of the enclosure because she didn't know how to get in and wanted to stay close to home hehe.
Hello Olive, nice to find your lovely blog. I was confused about the autumn colors until I figured out you're in Australia. Greetings from the other side of the world. We got a double yolker the other day, too. We have one hen seems like that's all she lays.
