Golden Elm.

Waking from her winter sleep, this Golden Elm tree.
Planted about 6 years ago, it is still relatively small. This year it has decided to do something different, put out something that looks like flowers. In the centre of each "petal" there is dark spot which seems to be a seed. I wonder if they will be viable?

Hello Olive
Those 'flowers' give a nice touch to the bare stems - similar look as the flowering quince I have that flowers on bare stems
Thanks for the tip on soaking the SP seed - I knew something had to be doneon ST Pat's day but could never remember whether it had to do with seeds or bought seedlings lol
Take care
