Penstemon and crab apples

This is a pretty penstemon
from the garden. The one that
vanished from yesterdays blog

The crab apples are
developing nicely, there
should be thousands of
them this (next) year.
That, of course is, if the
birds don't find them.

Yes, and crab apple paste for the cheese board. Time consuming to make but well worth the effort.

Oh yes, crab apple jelly, with roast meats, on hot toast, stirred into yoghurt or just on it's own. It's one of natures true bounties.
