The earliest picture I have of myself, approx 8 months old. Cameras were few and far between, most pictures were taken in a Studio.
On the Pt Pirie docks, where we used to swim. My Mother's family were great swimmers, my mother being diving champion at age 16. How about those cossies? very becoming don't you think? lol
And last for this part of the blog is me at about 3yrs old dressed entirely in red. No colour film then. I lived with my Nanna in the same house until she passed away from breast cancer when I was 4 years old. I can still remember her.
Blogging through Picassa will only allow 4 pics at a time so sorry folks, this has to come in 2 parts, and hopefully I have it the right way around this time.

What wonderful photos. I look forward to the next installment! Happy birthday and congratulations on reaching three fourths of a century!
Thanks Aimee, but have no idea when the next installment will be, you see we are packing up and moving ! The work that is needed to keep this place looking beautiful is too much for both of us, someone younger who likes a challenge maybe. The thought of moving into suburbia horrifies us and it will be a very sad day when it happens

Lovely photos Olive, sad to hear that you are moving. Do you have to move into suburbia or will you be able to find a smaller place on the fringes??
Thanks Pip,to me suburbia is somewhere (anywhere) the neighbours are so close you can almost hear them snoring at night. lol. Where we are now the neighbours are far enough away but still close enough, if you know what I mean.
lovely pics Joy. and lifes challenges can be really tricky. I wish you all the best- no doubt your garden will still flourish no matter where you are!
oops! happy Birthday! Hope it was a lovely one
Happy Birthday!! You might get your telegram from Queen Camilla.haha
Sorry to hear you have to move, we can hear our neighbours having a shower (uggh), hope you don't have to move to suburbia.
Thanks Kelly, my birthday was yummy (LOL) The kids sent us off to McLaren vale for lunch....deeeelicious !!
Oops sorry G/F I forgot to say thanks for the birthday wishes.
Queen Camilla ??? no thanks, I'd rather have a kind word from the good looking one, (not Charlie) Wills.

Hello Olive
Thanks for popping in theother day it was lovely to see you. I'm glad to hear your birthday was a good one also sad to hear you are contemplating that big move. You did mention it (privately) a while back but I didn't think you would actually go through with it.
Love the baby photo - I think that jacket is knitted in a Feather and Fan stitch, is that correct? No matter how old we are bathers are not very flattering lol
Do post something when you can, I've missed your entries about life in the Adelaide Hills
Take care
Cathy
Thanks Cathy for the kind words. I'm glad to hear you had a great holiday.
